It’s not loving a man that makes life harder for gay guys, it’s homophobia. It’s not the color of their skin that makes life harder for people of color; it’s racism. Furthermore, it’s not having vaginas that make life harder for women, it’s sexism. And it’s ageism, far more than the passage of time, that makes growing older harder for all of us.
