Lao Tzu

He who does not trust enough, Will not be trusted.

Lao Tzu

He who is in harmony with the Taxis like a newborn child. Its bones are soft, its muscles are weak, but its grip is powerful. It doesn't know about the union of male and female, yet its penis can stand erect, so intense is its vital power. It can scream its head off all day, yet it never becomes hoarse, so complete is its harmony. The Master's power is like this. He lets all things come and go effortlessly, without desire. He never expects results;thus he is never disappointed. He is never disappointed;thus his spirit never grows old.

Lao Tzu

He who knows, does not speak. He who speaks, does not know.

Lao Tzu

Highly evolved people have their own conscience as pure law.

Lao Tzu

How could man rejoice in victory and delight in the slaughter of men?

Lao Tzu

I do not concern myself with gods and spirits either good or evil nor do I serve any.

Lao Tzu

If a person seems wicked, do not cast him away. Awaken him with your words, elevate him with your deeds, repay his injury with your kindness. Do not cast him away; cast away his wickedness.

Lao Tzu

If lightning is the anger of the gods, then the gods are concerned mostly about trees.

Lao Tzu

If the Great Way perishes there will morality and duty. When cleverness and knowledge arise great lies will flourish. When relatives fall out with one another there will be filial duty and love. When states are in confusion there will be faithful servants.

Lao Tzu

If the people never fear death, what is the purpose of threatening to kill them? If the people ever fear death, and I were to capture and kill those who are devious, who would dare to be so? If the people must be ever fearful of death, then there will always be an executioner. Now, To kill in place of the executioners like Hewing wood in place of the master carpenter;Few indeed will escape cutting their own hands!
